Bike the Bay

 

Total Length: 6 or 9 miles.

Duration: Take things at a slow pace, stop to drink in the fabulous scenery and the whole thing will take about 3 hours.

Classification: Easy peasy. It’s pan flat with many stop off points. But if you want to go one further up to Culver Cliff you’ll be in for a climb! IT’S THE ISLAND’S MOST POPULAR CYCLE RIDE!

The Isle of Wight’s Sandown Bay has been awarded ‘Best British Beach’. 

Sandown Bay is a broad open bay which stretches for much of the length of the Isle of Wight’s southeastern coast. It extends 8 ¹⁄₂ miles from Culver Down, near Yaverland in the northeast of the Island, to just south of Shanklin, near the village of Luccombe in the southwest –
