We started with one person’s electric bike. A white one with a basket. It wasn’t the most macho if the truth be known but Mike liked the look of it though and took it for a spin. He was hooked. He hired the bike for a further three days and our peer-to-peer e-bike share scheme was born!
Our peer-to-peer e-bike share scheme, which we like to call ‘LendiMe’ is powered by Routefifty7 and provides a platform for people like you to hire your e-bike to others. We launched LendiMe for residents of the Isle of Wight with the idea to make e-bikes easily available and affordable to anyone anywhere.
Island cycling is greatly supported by the IoW Council and its latest mission is to help us create this peer-to-peer e-bike share scheme.
Joining LendiMe is free and easy. If you have an e-bike that is not being used every day, why not join our community, and make some money by lending your e-bike?
The best bit is you do nothing. We’ll even service your e-bike for you prior to hire and then return it to you in the same, or better, condition.
We believe that e-bikes are the future of sustainable urban transport and by more efficiently allocating e-bikes to hirers, our peer-to-peer share scheme makes effective use of existing resources rather than creating more new bikes.
From sharing a new cycle route, a cup of coffee, a pub stop or even your e-bike, we all agree that cycling is better when you share.
If you have an e-bike that is not being used why not join the LendiMe community and make some money hiring your bike?
“Very helpfully explained how everything worked. Great idea”.
